Ira Levin was practically born on the stage in Miami, Florida. He studied theater and music at Florida State University and has composed material for two CDs with Comfy Chair, the Elektra Records compilation Jump Up and Boogie, an original play The Plant's Taking Over, Elie Wiesel's Trial of God (performed at the Rhinoceros Theater in SF), and his first children's CD, Hippo on my Head (recently performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His latest CD, Madlik Oti is Jewish soulfolk to help bridge the gap between tribes and tents.
