Eric Perney studied music and bass at the University of Michigan with Stuart Sankey and Rodney Whitaker. His musical vision has also been shaped by his work with Peter Kowald, Steve Reinfranck, Joelle Leandre, Steve Rush, Ed Sarath, Fred Frith, and Tom Waits. Eric is a founding member of the band Transmission, Peoples Bizarre and Gojogo. He also plays in various musical projects in San Francisco ranging in style from Jazz to Balkan to Classical music. You can hear him on the title track of Tom Waits' “Alice,” the “Shrek 2” and “La Tigre En La Neve” soundtrack.
