Chris Doherty has been performing a cappella since 1992, doing vocal percussion for most of that time. He started out percussing off-microphone with the group he helped found, the Skidmore College Dynamics, where he was a frequent participant in the North American A cappella and vocal percussion communities, including teaching vocal percussion at the A Cappella Summit. Following that, he performed with the Berkeley-based The Irrationals. Chris' work appears on a number of CDs, and he has judged for both the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards and the National Championship of Collegiate A cappella.
