Chayale Ash

The acclaimed Yiddish actress and diva Chayale Ash will share anecdotes about her life and times as an artist, from early years on stage in Romania, Poland, and DP camps, to later years as a founder of Yiddish theater in Israel, and subsequent theatrical work in the U.S. She will be interviewed by Donny Inbar, a doctoral student at the Graduate Theological Union who is currently writing a dissertation on Abraham Goldfaden, the founder of the Yiddish theater.
