Aaron Blumenfeld is a Richmond-based composer, instructor, writer and former chazzan. The Jazz School instructor has composed numerous works that are both Jewish and non-Jewish, with themes ranging from those inspired by Chassidic melodies to piano concertos, frequently including blues piano techniques. His publications include a 101-song collection of Chassidic melodies and “How to Play Blues and Boogie Piano Styles.”
